Local developer Dubai Properties has invited companies to bid by 2 July for a contract to build 800 villas in Dubailand.
The local Arch Group is the consultant for the project which is the latest residential scheme to be developed by Dubai Properties at Dubailand.
It recently awarded Beijing-based China State Construction Engineering Corporation a AED400m ($109m) building package at its AED55bn Mudon development in Dubailand.
The contract was the second to be awarded to China State at Mudon. In 2007 it was awarded a AED500m contract for an earlier phase of building works (MEED 28:5:08).
