The UAE health ministry has set new rules for renewing medical licences of all medical staff in the country that will require them to put in certain hours to further educate themselves in their fields of specialization, Gulf News has reported. In addition to the professional development programme, doctors must complete 30 hours training; pharmacists must finish 20 hours; nurses 15 hours and technicians 10 hours. The new requirements have been put into effect retroactively from last month, the ministry said.
