Dubai plans to move ahead with several major aviation projects in 2012. Contractors are expecting to win work on three major projects. The contracts cover maintenance hangars, the expansion of a terminal building at Dubai International airport, and the construction of new facilities for the Dubai Airshow at Al-Maktoum International aiport in Jebel Ali (MEED 9:12:11).

Concourse 3 is currently being built by local contractor Alec and is due to open at the end of 2012.
