
Nass Contracting will build a 875,000 square metre residential development with 281 units
Local contractor Nass Contracting has been appointed to carry out the main building work on a residential development in Bahrain.
Piling works are now completed on the project, which is called the Marassi Residences, with construction expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.
The contract involves building an 875,000-square-metre residential development with 281 units at the Marassi project being developed by Abu Dhabis Eagle Hills and Bahrains Diyar al-Muharraq.
Bahrain currently has a pipeline of projects worth a total of $7.5bn being supported by GCC funds and investors, such as the $1bn airport expansion and various infrastructure and road schemes. In addition to this, $10bn of projects are being developed by government bodies such as the sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat and the countrys pension funds, while $15bn are under the private sector.
Private sector schemes include the Marassi al-Bahrain project being developed with the UAEs Eagle Hills, Diyar al-Muharraq, Bahrain Bay, King Abdullah Medical City and The Avenues mall.
