Contracts awarded to Vitol, Noble Group, Trafigura and BP to supply 75 cargoes of LNG

The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (Egas) has awarded $2.2bn in liquefied natural gas (LNG) contracts to four foreign companies.

The four companies will supply 75 cargoes of LNG over a period of around two years, according to a statement made by Egas chairman Khaled Abdel Badie to the news agency Reuters.

Dutch-owned Vitol, Hong Kong-headquartered Noble Group, and the Dutch commodity trading company Trafigura will supply the bulk of the LNG, with UK oil and gas company BP covering the remainder, according to Reuters, which cited anonymous traders.
