Egypt's tourism revenues have recorded a 3.1% fall for the year to November, compared to the previous year's performance, Reuters has reported. However, the results were higher than expected due to strong arrivals from Europe as winter approached, according to a tourism official. About 11.45 million tourists visited Egypt in the first 11 months of 2009.
