At least 21 injured in three explosions at market
At least eight people were killed in three explosions in the commercial district of Baghdad on 6 November.
At least 21 people were injured in the attacks. The bombs are believed to have been planted in the Shurja market as people were buying food for Eid al-Adha celebrations. Officials from the Interior and Defence Ministries said that parts of the historic market had been set on fire.
Iraq has seen an increase in militant violence, with about 258 people being killed in October. The increase is raising concerns that violence might escalate further once the US military withdraws fully and hands over security to Iraqis.
