- Eldest son of Dubai ruler dies of heart attack aged 33
- Three days of mourning announced
The eldest son of Vice-president and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, has died.
An annoucement on 19 September by UAE official state news agency WAM said Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, who was 33, died of a heart attack on 19 September.
Following the burial on the same day, the Dubai Rulers Court annouced a three-day period of mourning.
It said that work at Dubai Government entities will continue as usual.
Sheikh Rashid was the older brother of Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed al-Maktoum.
