Emaar Development has changed its CEO, with Chris O’Donnell having been replaced with immediate effect by Bader Saeed Hareb.
The company announced the change in a filing on the Dubai Financial Market on 23 September.
O’Donnell was appointed as CEO in November 2017. He previously assisted Emaar's chairman Mohammed Ali Alabbar with real estate projects. Before that, he worked at Al-Futtaim Real Estate. O’Donnell first worked in the UAE as CEO of Nakheel.
Hareb has been at Emaar since August 2017. He has previously held roles at Majid al-Futtaim and The Wave – Muscat, Dubai Healthcare City, Sharjah Holding, Nakheel and Etisalat.
Emaar Development is working on some of Dubai’s largest and most ambitious projects. These include Dubai Creek Harbour, which will host the world’s tallest tower and largest retail centre.
