Dubai developer Emaar has announced its plans to build a number of hotels across the UAE and Egypt.
The developer has announced plans to develop three hotel and residences projects in Dubai under the Address and Vida Hotel and Resorts brands. The developments will include an Address-branded hotel and residences in the Dubai Creek Harbour area, as well as a Vida hotel same within area.
Emaar has also announced plans to develop a Vida hotel and residences in the Dubai Marina area.
Elsewhere in the UAE, Emaar has announced its first hotel project in Abu Dhabi. A Vida hotel and residences will be developed on the capitals Reem Island.
The developer has also said it plans to develop a Marassi Adresss hotel and residences in Egypts North Coast area.
The total investments of the companys hospitality plans have not been disclosed.
Earlier this month MEED reported that contractors have been invited to submit bids by 8 June for the contract to build The Address Jumeirah Gate development at Dubai Marina.
The contract involves building twin 74 storey mixed-use towers that are 303 metres tall on the Gulf coast next to Jumeirah Beach Residence.
The scheme, which is also known as The Address Residences Jumeirah Resort and Spa development, will have a total built-up area of 255,000 square metres.
The local Middle East Foundation Group was appointed as the enabling works contractor in December last year.
The hotel properties will be managed by three Emaar Hospitality brands: The Address Hotels + Resorts, Vida Hotels and Resorts, and Rove Hotels.
The project is being developed by Abu Dhabi-based Al-Ain Properties. The designs were prepared by the local Killa Design. The project was previously considered by Abu Dhabi-based Eagle Hills.
