The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) started positively (up 1.57% at 1,749.63) into the second week of October. Emaar Properties surged 3.13% to close at Dhs3.95. Arabtec from Dubai gained five percent and finished at Dhs2.29 as the construction group received green light from to start building the 403-metre Okhta Centre project in St. Petersburg in Russia, worth Dhs10bn, The National reported. Logistics specialist Aramex (off 1.32% to Dhs2.25) remained unaffected by the general positive sentiment. Traded value almost doubled to Dhs619.23m as 347.85m shares changed hands at the DFM.
