Dubai firm will manage properties at Arada's Aljada development

Local developer Arada has signed a management agreement with Dubai’s Emaar Hospitality Group for three planned hotels in Sharjah.

The three hotels will be built at Arada’s 2.2 square kilometre Aljada development. Emaar’s Address brand will manage the Address Aljada Sharjah with 150 rooms and the Address Residences Aljada Sharjah with 150 serviced residences. The Vida brand will operate the Vida Aljada Sharjah with 175 hotel rooms and Vida Residences Aljada Sharjah with 120 residences.

The third hotel will be the 300-room Rove Aljada Sharjah.

Arada is a joint venture of KBW Investments and Basma Group.

Arada says that Aljada has a sales value of AED24bn ($6.5bn). Construction work is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2018 and the entire project is expected to be completed by 2025. The first units will be delivered in 2019.

In January, the US’ Jacobs was awarded the infrastructure design contract for Aljada.

The consultancy contract is for work on the AED1.2bn infrastructure that is planned for Aljada.

Earlier in January, Arada announced that it had secured a AED1bn Islamic financing facility with two major UAE banks, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and Dubai Islamic Bank, to help fund the development of Aljada.
