Emirates gets first A380 in July

Emirates takes delivery of its first Airbus A380 on 28th July. By the end of its current financial year in March 2009 it should have received five of the delayed superjumbos. All are for long-haul flights, so will have 489 seats, made up of 14 in first class, 76 in business and 399 in economy. The A380s will initially fly between Dubai and London, Australia and the US - it will announce details of its first commercial flight soon. Emirates has 58 A380s on order, worth $18.8bn.
