An Emirates jetliner had to make an emergency landing after its tail hit the runway as it took off from Melbourne, Australia, according to news reports. The incident sent off smoke into the cabin and forced the pilot to make the emergency landing. The Airbus A340 took off from Melbourne at around 10:30pm on Friday, heading for Dubai. No one was hurt and passengers were put on other flights to Dubai.
