Emirates Investment and Development Company (Emivest) plans to invest about $1bn in a US-based light executive jet manufacturer after buying it in June, reported Gulf News. Emivest chairman Buti Saeed Al Ghandi said the investment will enable Texas-based Sino Swearingen Aircraft Corporation to design and develop its second executive jet. The Dubai investment firm owns 80% of SSAC, which makes the SJ30 business aircraft, advertised as 'the world's fastest, longest range and highest flying light jet'.
