UAE national carrier Etihad Airways, is to launch non-stop flights from May 7 to the Kazakhstani capital Astana from Abu Dhabi. The service will run once a week using an Airbus A319 aircraft. Astana will become the second destination in Kazakhstan served by Etihad following the launch in December 2008 of flights to Almaty, Kazakhstan's largest city.
