
The airline already flies twice a day to Cairo
Abu Dhabi-based airline Etihad Airways is planning to start flying to Alexandria in July.
The carrier will fly four times a week to Alexandria, which lies on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast once it has received government approval.
Etihad will operate an Airbus A320 aircraft on the route. The airline began flights to Cairo in November 2004 and currently flies twice a day to the Egyptian capital.
The carrier also began flights to Baghdad on 26 April (MEED 18:4:10). It began flights to Erbil, which is in northern Iraq on 1 June.
