Etihad to raise surcharge to ease fuel costs

07 May 2008
Etihad Airways has said that it will have to pass its fuel costs on to customers by raising its surcharge.

A senior official at the Abu Dhabi-based carrier has said that record fuel prices mean that the airline must raise its surcharge in line with its competitors. The company has yet to decide how much extra it will add to ticket prices. The company has already raised the surcharge three times since late last year (MEED 17:03:08).

The airline declined to comment further.
