Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) is preparing to issue tender documents for the contract to reclaim a series of offshore islands for the development of its Hail and Ghasha sour gas fields.
It is understood that eight companies are prequalified to bid for the contract that involves dredging and rockwork.
The consultant for the marine works is France’s Artelia.
US-based Bechtel was awarded the front-end engineering and design (feed) contract for the Hail and Ghasha fields earlier this year.
The Hail and Ghasha project is one of Adnoc's largest sour gas fields developments and is forecast to produce about 1 billion cubic feet of sour gas a day.
