EXCLUSIVE: Oman awards Muscat warehouse contract

21 November 2017
Bids for two other contracts are undergoing evaluation

Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC), the firm that operates Muscat and Salalah International airports, has awarded the design and supervision consultancy contract for a central warehouse building at the Muscat International airport to local Al-Waha Engineering Consultancy.

Two other tenders issued earlier this year are undergoing bid evaluation process.

They include contracts for the design, supply and installation of storage systems equipment and tools for maintenance workshops and the operation and maintenance of electromechanical and civil facilities in the passenger terminal building at Muscat International.

On 12 November, OAMC awarded Dubai-based Jetex Flight Support a 10-year contract to provide aircraft operation and management services at both airports.

The new passenger terminal at Muscat International is expected to enter commercial operations next year.
