Biography: Fatima Mohammed al-Shamsi is a senior manager of new business development at Dewa. She works on projects and research and development. Al-Shamsi has served as a member of the UAE National Technical Committee of Electrical and Electronic Products Sector. She started her career at the UAE’s Electricity & Water Ministry as a graduate planning engineer, before being appointed head of power distribution projects at the ministry. She then moved to the UAE’s Federal Electricity & Water Authority (Fewa), where she worked in several different roles before being appointed executive director in the authority. Al-Shamsi graduated from the UAE University with a bachelor of science honours degree in electronics engineering. She has a master’s in business administration in financial management.
