Technical bids currently under evaluation
Five consultancy firms have submitted an offer for the pre-contract engineering consultancy services for the improvement of access at the Bahrain International airport (BIA).
The firms include:
- Aecom Middle East
- Parsons Global Services
- Egis International
- Hyder Consulting
- Dar SSS International Engineering
The technical offers are undergoing evaluation, according to the Bahrain Tender Board.
The evaluation of financial offers and the selection of the winning consultant will follow once the technical evaluation is concluded.
The $1.1bn expansion contract for the Bahrain International airport (BIA) has been awarded to a team of Dubais Arabtec Construction and Turkeys TAV in early 2016. Specialist systems such as passenger air bridges, baggage handling systems, moving walkways, and security packages have also been awarded.
Packages left to be awarded include a maintenance, repair and operation (MRO) hangar, airport information and communication technology (ICT) system, and an air traffic control centre building.
