Adma-Opco looking to increase production to 3.5 million barrels a day by 2013
US-based Fluor has won the contract for the front-end engineering and design (feed) work for Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company’s (Adma-Opco) full field development of the Nasr offshore oil field.
Adma-Opco is developing the Nasr Field, approximately 30 kilometres northeast of the Umm Shaif field, as part of Abu Dhabi’s programme to increase its production capacity to 3.5 million barrels a day (b/d) by 2013.
The Nasr development includes seven wellhead towers, super complex facilities including gas processing and oil separation production facilities, a utilities platform, living quarters, infield subsea pipelines and an export pipeline to Das Island. The project will be completed in two phases.
In August, India’s Larsen & Toubro won the engineering, procurement, construction and installation work for phase 1, which covers the early production works on the Nasr and Umm Lulu fields.
