Biography: Frank Grainger joined Germany’s Conergy in April 2009 as a director, leading a team of engineers to design, supply, construct and commission solar power projects in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
He was project manager on the 2MW roof-mounted photovoltaic solar project at King Abdullah University of Science & Technology – the first solar project to be installed in Saudi Arabia. Previously, Grainger worked for BP Solar in Sydney, Australia, as a senior project manager from March 2001 to April 2009, where he developed on- and off-grid solar projects.
He also worked on a solar scheme in the Philippines and a roof-mounted system in South Korea – the first of its kind in the country. Grainger has a bachelor of science degree in electrical and electronic engineering and master’s degree in business administration from Bradford University in the UK.
