Fresh copper deposits found in Saudi Arabia

24 January 2008
Australia’s Citadel Resource Group has announced positive drilling results for its Jabal Sayid Copper Project, in the southeast of Saudi Arabia.

Citadel says the results of data from five drill holes, all of which contain deposits of ore, have reinforced the potential for significant additions to the current resource inventory at Jabal Sayid.

Estimated deposits of 828,000 tonnes of copper and 87,000 tonnes of zinc have already been identified by Citadel.

The Jabal Sayid project is located in a region rich in mineral deposits. Citadel will release an upgraded resource report in February, prior to the commencement of a bankable feasibility study.

Citadel also owns gold mines in Lahuf and Jabal Shayban.
