As well as a slowdown in the regions projects market, the finances of GCC contractors are being put under great strain by late and delayed payments from their clients, who are often governmnt agencies.
Fahd Iqbal, head of Middle East research at investment bank Credit Suisse, talks to MEEDs Editorial Director Richard Thompson about the challenges facing GCC contarctors. The banker also considers some of the emerging opportunities that may provide construction companies with new ways to drive growth.
