Green building planned for Abu Dhabi

Bahrain-based International Investment Bank plans to build a AED1bn ($272m) green building at the Danet Abu Dhabi development in the UAE capital.

The project involves the construction of twin 21-storey towers with two podiums and three basement levels. One of the towers will be offices, the other will be residential.

The client has registered the development for achieving the LEED Platinum Certification from the US Green Building Council.

Dubai-based Energy Management Services is the environmental consultant. Lebanon’s Khatib & Alami is the consultant.

QP International, the joint venture between the local Al-Qudra Holding and Projacs International is the project manager. Al-Qudra is the master developer for Danet Abu Dhabi.
