The local Gulf Drilling & Maintenance Company has won a contract, worth KD6.8m ($24.3m), to provide upstream operator Kuwait Oil Company with oil field services.
Under the terms of the master services agreement, signed on 21 November, Gulf Drilling will provide coiled tubing, slicklines and well-lines.
The firm will also provide wellhead maintenance, surface well testing facilities and logging services.
The deal is one of a number of oil field service agreements KOC has signed over the past 12 months as it seeks to upgrade and improve the state’s upstream infrastructure.
