UAE group to provide jack-up barge for Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company fields
Abu Dhabi-based Gulf Marine Services (GMS) has won a three-year contract with Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (Adma-Opco) to supply a jack-up barge for the offshore producer’s operations.
The Keloa barge will join Adma-Opco’s technical support fleet at the Umm Shalf and Lower Zakum fields off the coast of Abu Dhabi.
The deal is GMS’s first contract providing direct services to Adma-Opco’s production, having provided drilling support services for over 25 years.
Adma-Opco, a joint venture of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), BP, Total and Japanese Oil Development Company (Jodco), is one of the UAE’s largest oil producers with a capacity of over 500,000 barrels a day (b/d).
