Gulf Projects 10 June 2008

15 June 2008
The MEED Projects index climbed by almost 2 per cent to $2.21 trillion in the week to 10 June, as all the Gulf states
bar Iran registered an increase in the value of projects planned or under way.

In percentage terms, the highest growth was recorded by Iraq which experienced a 32 per cent
rise in its project portfolio to $66bn.

The unprecedented jump was almost entirely due to the launch of a $15bn mixed-use development in Irbil by Dubai-based developer Damac.
