Gulf projects 15 September 2008

The total value of projects planned and under way in the Gulf rose by 1.1 per cent to $2.53 trillion in the week to 15 September.

With the exception of Qatar, all the Gulf states included in the MEED Projects index experienced growth, with Iran and Oman recording the highest rates.

The construction sector continues to dominate the projects market, accounting for two-thirds of the total value.

Year on year, the MEED Projects index is up by 54 per cent.
