The MEED Projects index dipped by 0.5 per cent to $2.17 trillion in the week ending 27 May.
Of the eight Gulf states covered by the project tracker, only Iran recorded an increase in the value of projects planned or under way, with its portfolio rising by just 0.1 per cent. The biggest fall was registered in Iraq, where the total value of projects fell by 5.8 per cent.
Despite the weekly decline, the overall index is up 44 per cent year on year.
