New Adnoc complex is expected to be completed in 2015
The US Hill International has received a contract extension to continue providing project management consultancy services for the new headquarters complex of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) located in the UAE capital. The two-year contract extension has an estimated value to Hill of approximately $13.3m.
In 2010, the local/Belgian Six Construct Abu Dhabi won the estimated $490m contract to build a new headquarters, designed by US-based architecture firm HOK. The new 342-metre-tall building will be located adjacent to the current Adnoc headquarters, at the intersection of Corniche Road and Bainunah Street in Abu Dhabi.
The scheme includes an office tower, podium and atrium, basement parking areas, a separate underground car park, and a tunnel connecting the office tower with the car park. The total built-up area will be about 190,000 square metres. The complex is expected to be completed by January 2015.
We are honored that our long-term client Adnoc continues to rely upon Hill to manage construction of their new world-class headquarters complex, said Raouf S Ghali, president of Hills international project management group.
