Hills contract has an estimated value of $2.3m and will run for two and a half years.
The Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas will be built on about 1 square kilometre of coastal land 97 kilometres southwest of Doha.
It will have 362 guest rooms, a water park, a marina, a dive centre, a cinema, retail space, pools and a spa. In addition to the rooms and suites of the main hotel, two small villages of family villas will be developed.
The consultant is the local office of Kuwaits KEO International Consultants. The client for the construction of the resort is the Private Engineers Office.
US-based hotel operator Hilton Hotels & Resorts signed an agreement in June with the local Al-Rayyan Hospitality to manage the property.
