Description: The CP18 project comprised the construction of an airport terminal complex, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing works, and special airport systems. It is a five-storey building with a floor area of 490,000 square metres, consisting of the main terminal and concourses A, B and C. It also involved the construction of a pedestrian bridge and an elevated roadway 28 metres wide and 380 metres long, 10 metres above ground. The terminal currently has the capacity to handle 25 million passengers a year. It has 33 contact gates, six of which cater specially to the Airbus superjumbo A380 aircraft. The airport also contains a 100-room transit hotel, a swimming pool, a luxury spa and a squash court.
