JBF plans to build 90,000 tonne-a-year polyester films facility
India’s JBF Industries plans to build a $200m polyester film plant at the Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP) in Salman Industrial City.
Construction work is due to start at the site in 2012 and when completed, the facility will have an initial capacity of 90,000 tonnes a year of polyester films.
The offtake from the plant will be sold for use in the food and electronics product packaging industry in Europe and the US.
The plant will be spread across 65,000 square metres and is expected to create 300 jobs.
