31 December 2007
Local developer Sorouh Real Estate has appointed Mouchel Parkman as infrastructure consultant for its 736,000 square-metre Al-Mashtal mixed-use development in Abu Dhabi emirate.

The contract calls for the design and supervision of the construction of infrastructure works including water, power, gas, communications, sewers, irrigation, district cooling, street lighting and internal roads. It also involves several research projects on environmental issues, traffic impact, and geotechnical studies.

The design package is expected to be completed by February and a tender will be issued to contractors for the construction shortly afterwards.

The project is located on Abu Dhabi island off Airport road close to the Abu Dhabi Corniche. It comprises office, residential, entertainment and retail areas, hotels and serviced apartments and an entertainment/sports arena.
