Conference told there is ‘room for improvement’ in Iraq oil plan schedules
Iraq needs to do more to ensure that promised actions take place on time, the MEED Iraq Energy Projects Conference 2013 was told in Dubai on 25 March.
“To protect our investment we need some surety that our schedules will be met,” said Douglas Nester, Kogas Akkas chief operating officer. “I think what we are seeing is a stronger commitment from Iraq government offices to sharing our urgency.” Kogas has four oil field projects in Iraq.
“It is a time challenge to meet obligations taken in Iraq,” said Iskander Nasyrov, Lukoil Middle East managing director. “There is still some room for improvement.”
