Biography: Jason Williams is the technical director for Northern Gulf highways and water for UK-based Atkins in Qatar. In 2011, Atkins was appointed by Ashghal to oversee the minor road works in the West Doha section of the capital. Williams joined Atkins in 2008.

In his current role, he works with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to provide comprehensive design services to clients within the Northern Gulf region. Prior to this, Williams was a divisional director for a 2020 Liverpool, a joint venture between Mouchel and Liverpool City Council in the UK.

In this role, he was responsible for delivering infrastructure improvement projects, including management of structures, street lighting and development control sections. Williams graduated with a degree in civil engineering from Liverpool John Moores University in 1988.
