Javaid Sheikh

Position: Interim dean, Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar

Biography: Javaid Sheikh joined Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar from Stanford University School of Medicine in the US, where he was a professor of psychiatry and behavioural sciences.

He has previously served as a chief of medical staff and appeared on the ‘Best Doctors in America’ list compiled by Boston-based Best Doctors from 1997 to 2001. He assumed the position of interim dean at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar in January 2009.
