Overview
Rapid urbanisation and industrial growth is straining Saudi Arabia’s utilities. Electricity consumption is expected to grow 5.5 per cent a year, and Saudi Electric Company (SEC) is building a new steam power plant in Mecca.
The project includes the development of steam turbines, a Heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), transformers, switchgear, a fuel treating & conditioning unit, along with associated works.
