Facility at King Abdullah Economic City will make equipment for the HVAC industry  

The US’ Johnson Controls is to build a new factory at the King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) near Jeddah in Saudi Arabia that will produce components and equipment for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry (HVAC).

The facility will be built in conjunction with the local Saudi partner of the company, Al-Salem Johnson Controls (ASJC) and will create 1,000 new jobs according to a statement released by the company.

The 200,000 square metre site will be located at KAEC’s Industrial Valley and will also serve as a training centre for ASJC employees. Completion of the factory is set for 2017.
