Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has awarded the local/Italian Emirates Link Maltauro the estimated AED159.5m ($43m) contract to build a federal supreme court in Abu Dhabi.
The project involves the construction of two underground floors, a ground floor and three upper floors with a total built-up area of 25,000 square metres.
The building will have six large court rooms, an office for the chief judge, 13 offices for judges, a meeting hall for the members, a library, administrative offices, a customers’ transaction hall and a meeting hall. It will also include detention rooms, a large library, a majlis, multi-purpose offices, an auditorium, prayer rooms, lawyers rooms and parking spaces for 136 cars.
Completion is planned for the first quarter of 2019.
