

Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya Investment Company has awarded the joint venture of local contractor Albawani and Qatar-based Urbacon Trading & Contracting Company the contract to deliver its Water Park Hotel at Qiddiya’s resort core.
The project, due for completion in January 2026, involves constructing a five-star hotel with 550 rooms across 12 floors.
Qatari Ammico Contracting Company undertook the foundation works.
Dubai-based DSA Architects International and the UK’s Omto Architects are the project consultants.
The local El-Seif Engineering Contracting and UAE-based Alec were awarded the estimated $500m contract to build the water park in February 2022.
Designed to be the region’s largest water park, it will have 23 rides and attractions. It covers an area of 250,000 square metres with 40,000 sq m of building work.
The consultant is UAE-based Dewan Architects & Engineers.
Qiddiya is an entertainment destination being developed on a 367 square-kilometre site located about 45km from Riyadh city centre. The project is funded directly by the Public Investment Fund.
