The developer of Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan is asking the government to agree to a plan to expand the airport's overall landscape from 86,000 square metres to 100,000 square metres. The Airport International Group (AIG), which is responsible for the rehabilitation of existing facilities and the construction of the new terminal at the airport, said the expansion would delay the opening of the terminal by six months, but would not place any additional financial burdens on the government.
