Consultants to respond by 30 January
Jordan’s Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation has invited expressions of interest to study mechanisms to incentivise the financial sector to scale up the funding of green investment in the country.
The government has received financing from the French Development Agency for the initiative. The Ministry of Environment is the implementing authority of the grant.
The chosen consultant will be tasked with identifying a set of mechanisms, which the Jordanian government could adopt in order to incentivise the financial sector to scale up its financing of green investments.
In doing so it hopes to spur the development of a green economy in Jordan. These incentives will focus on making access to finance easier, faster and cheaper.
Expressions of interest are to be submitted by 30 January. The study is expected to be conducted over three months.
