Contractors invited to prequalify for new rock phosphate terminal contract

Jordan Phosphate Mines (JPMC) has asked for expressions of interest for the operation and maintenance (O&M) contract for its new rock phosphate terminal.

The phosphate terminal is in the south zone of Aqaba’s port complex in Jordan. Once construction is completed, the capacity of the terminal will be four million tonnes a year.

JPMC has appointed Royal Haskoning as the consulting engineer and adviser for the project. O&M contractors or joint ventures have been invited to re-qualify for the tender shortlist. There will only be one package on offer covering three to five years.

The deadline for submissions was 10 October.
