Dam will be built at Kufranja in the Ajloun governorate
The Government of Jordan has issued a request for qualification (RFQ) to contractors and invited bids for advisers for the construction of an 80.5-metre dam at Kufranja in the Ajloun governorate.
The tenders are being run by the Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) of the Ministry of Water and Irrigation through the Government Tenders Directorate.
The selected contractor will construct the 80.5 metre concrete-faced rockfill dam (CFRD) with a spillway, diversion tunnel and access roads. The Kufranja dam will take in water from a 99 square kilometre catchment area.
Companies have until 7 October to respond to the RFQ. A pre-bid conference will be held on 17 October.
Consultants have until 13 October to respond to the request for proposals (RFP). The winning technical adviser will supervise the construction and maintenance of the dam.
