Jordanians call for better access to painkillers

The Jordanian Pain Society (JPS) has said the country needs to improve access to drugs, as over 75% of patients in the kingdom who need painkillers cannot afford them, Jordan Times has reported. Jordan’s consumption of morphine stands at 2mg per capita, well below the international consumption rate of 6mg per capita, JPS secretary general Ahmad Khatib said.
