Jubail projects to go to bid in April

A number of contracts for work at Jubail Industrial City in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia are to go out to bid in the next five weeks.

Contracts open to bids include the construction of a switching substation in stage two of Jubail 2, due to be awarded in August.

Commercial site development work, covering 3 million square metres, and a cut and fill contract for 2.5 million sq m in the Mutrafiah region, will also go out to bid. Both projects are due to be awarded in October.

Already out to bid and due to be awarded in the third quarter this year is the site development work for stage three of Jubail 2, which covers 10 square kilometres.

It includes ground preparation and infrastructure works for water, industrial waste water, sanitation, power cabling and roads (MEED 24:03:08).

The client is the Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu.
